Design a board game is a collection of tools to enable new and current game designers to create new board games or enhance their current games. It does not matter if you are already an established board game designer or just starting off. These tools will enhance your creation skills and open up new ways of game design.
4 years of planning has gone into this! We have looked at every game mechanic and theme, studied games and met up with game designers. We have ensured that all the information is accurate and gives you access to information you may have overseen during your game design career.
What do you get?
By colour coding cards you can use them in many different ways. We outline in the booklet several ways you can use the cards or simply just freelance it. You also gain insight into whether a certain mechanic or theme has been overly used or you may seek a challenge to use it in a different way. There are lots of ways in how these tools can assist you in game creation or development. You will find lots of good ideas in the booklet on how a mechanic or theme can be used.

What do you get?
- 3 packs of "mechanic" cards (1 main, 1 sub and 1 mixed) with each one colour coded in either yellow, orange or red, symbolising whether the market is saturated or lacks that mechanic used in games. By putting mechanics into main and sub groups means you can create your games or development current ones much more easily.
- 3 packs of "theme" cards with each one colour coded in either yellow, orange or red, symbolising whether the market is saturated or not with that theme used in games.
- Access to a downloadable PDF booklet, containing over 60 pages of every mechanic and theme as you have in cards, with a brief synopsis of each one, alongside game examples that contain those mechanics. The booklet also provides ideas on creating games with those mechanics.
